Julien Lieber out for nations?

Julien Lieber hurt his groin earlier in the year and he hurt it again in the qualification race at Glen Helen. He managed to battle through the pain for the first moto to secure a nineth place finish and secure sixth place overall in the championship in which has been a good season for the Belgian.

However, Julien didnt race the second moto in Glen Helen and needs to get an operation. He may get the operation before the nations and be forced to miss the event.  Julien commented “I crashed hard yesterday and hurt my right groin. I’m due to have the left one operated after the Nations but now I’m not sure what I will do. I went out in the first moto because I really want those points to get sixth in the championship and managed to make it happen. We will see for the Nations in the next few days.”

If Julien doesnt race the nations it will be a massive blow for Belgium. The most likely option to replace him is Damon Graulus as Brent Van Doninick will also undergo surgury on his knee on Thursday which also rules him out of the event.

Lets hope Julien can make the event and hopefully put some decent performances in even though he wont be 100% fit.
