Josiah Natzke steps down from Buildbase Honda!

After careful consideration, Josiah made this very difficult decision following a crash at the opening round of the EMX250 championship in Spain at the end of March that left him badly shaken.

“The team have been very supportive since my crash,” said Josiah. “It’s a tough decision for me and not something I have taken lightly and I would like to thank Willy and the rest of the Buildbase crew for all their hard work.”

Josiah has the full backing of team owner Dave Thorpe.

“Josiah’s a great kid and a very talented rider and I really feel for him,” said Dave. “It was a big crash that has taken its toll on him. He has our full support and as a team we wish him well.”

Josiah’s place will be taken by Josh Gilbert who steps up from the satellite Honda Adventure Centre team following a sensational start to the season that’s placed him second in the Maxxis ACU British MX2 Motocross Championship with two second overall finishes from three rounds.

For 20-year-old Josh it’s a case of business as usual as he continues to set career-best results this season.

“The plan is to keep going the way I’m going, stay focused and keep getting the results,” said Josh. “The bike is the same and we’re all part of the same family so it’s not a massive change for me.”
