Jeremy Martin will miss the entire 2019 season as he requires another back surgery, his Geico Honda team have confirmed.

Martin who broke his back in a big crash during the US motocross season had been looking race in at least the outdoor season in 2019 but another surgery required on his back as the first one “didn’t heal properly,” means he will not be able to compete at all next year.

It’s a big blow for the two-time US national champ, but his team have given him a contract for the 2020 and 2021 seasons so it gives Jeremy the motivation he needs to get healed up in the knowledge he still has a good strong team behind him when he returns from such a tough injury.
