Injury update on Romain Febvre after crash in Turkey

Romain Febvre suffered a heavy crash during the timed practice in Turkey. On Saturday, Yamaha issued the following update on the French rider. “The Frenchman suffered a concussion in the accident and was taken to hospital for further medical examination where it was confirmed that no other injury was sustained”.

However, the ex World Championship, has posted on social media that he has suffered from a broken rib. Febvre now just has to rest up until he’s ready to get back on the bike. It’s not the best news for the French Des Nations team with the Motocross Des Nations a month away.

Febvre posted the following message:

“As you know, I had a big crash on Turkish GP’s at time practice. The exams revealed nothing serious except a head concussion and a broken rib. I will now have to rest and wait to feel better. I am very disappointed with this crash because the speed at the end of the season and on this track was good. I would like to thank you for all your messages of support”.
