Injury update: Martin Barr – broken collarbone
Martin Barr was in action today during the MX Nationals at Cusses Gorse but the day didn’t go to plan for him after a big crash in race one ruled him out for the entire day.
Barr has revealed that he’s broken his collarbone in two places and requires surgery but says he’ll be back behind the gate very soon.
Irish Motocross Des Nations team manager, Philip McCillough will be hoping to have Barr at Assen next month.
“Not the weekend I was after, unfortunately after a big crash in race one I’ve broken my collarbone in two places which requires surgery! Totally gutted to not take the mxnationalsuk title chase to the last round but that’s Motocross, big well done to Josh Gilbert and Honda racing for the winning it!! I’m hoping to see the doctors tomorrow to make a plan of attack but I’ll be back behind that gate very soon. A big thanks to everyone in my corner making it all happen, much appreciated”, Barr stated on social media.
