Injury update: Arminas Jasikonis

Arminas Jasikonis recently picked up an injury knock that ruled him out of the last MXGP at Arco di Trento and he’s now revealed the injury is worse than first thought.

After still struggling with pain whilst riding, he went to get another check up and the result is that he actually broke 2 ribs and had been riding with the injury.

Whilst this rules him out of Latvia this weekend, we contacted the team and they expect him back at round seven in Maggiora, Italy.

“So, I have been trying my best to comeback and be at my best, but riding has given me difficult time, ribs has been making more pain each time I was riding bike. So last week I went to doctors to check my ribs situation, I did X-ray and doctors have found 2 broken ribs, which is not awesome news, so I had to cut my trainings and give a rest and let ribs heal properly… I’m very disappointed to tell that I’m going to miss Latvian GP… Thanks to my team Gebben van Venrooy Racing and whole people who is behind me and supporting me. It’s absolutely difficult time right now. I just want to ride my bike!!! Going to be there in Latvia GP to support my teammate Calvin Vlaanderen and all Lithuanian riders who is going to attend there. See ya all there”, Jasikonis stated on social media.
