Young Austrian talent, Rene Hofer might be a rookie in the EMX250 championship but he’s had a good start to the season and he’s wasting no time in making the jump to race MX2.
Hofer has secured a wildcard MX2 entry for Mantova this weekend and will also race MX2 in Agueda in Portugal. Considering Hofer was racing a 125cc just last year it’s a big jump but he’s determined to race as many MX2 rounds as possible to learn for the year ahead.
There’s no doubt that KTM value Hofer’s talents highly so he could be one of their riders for the future.
“I am really excited about it. Of course it will be a new challenge and it won‘t be easy. We want to ride as much MX2 races as we can, to gain experience for the next year. Obviously I will do my best and we will see how it goes. Thanks to my whole team and KTM Factory for making it happen, it will be fun”, Hofer commented.
