Herlings misses out on Dutch sportsman of the year

Jeffrey Herlings was one of three names up for the Dutch Sportsman of the year award but yet again he’s been overlooked for the award.

Depsite an unbelievable season for Herlings winning his first MXGP World Championship title and showing he was the fastest motocross rider on the planet in 2018 it wasn’t enough to win the award.

Kjeld Nuis won the award, the speed skater picked up Olympic gold in both 1000 and 1500 metres at the 2018 Winter Olympics.

Herlings is just going to have to do the same again in 2019 if he wants to become Dutch sportsman of the year – not that he didn’t deserve the world award this year!
