Håkansson makes Husqvarna switch

Young Swedish talent, Rasmus Håkansson has spent the past few years with the ProGrip Yamaha team but change is on the horizon for the 2019 season.

Håkansson has signed a deal with Swedish team, Speedtool Racing that will see him make the change from Yamaha to Husqvarna for the year ahead.

The plan will be to contest the Swedish Championship, Dutch Masters of Motocross and selected rounds of the EMX250 championship. He’ll be hoping the move to Husqvarna will bring out the best in him.

“When the opportunity came up to the join this team I felt that it was the best for me. I am now based in Sweden and it’ll be much easier for me to have something in sweden. I am feeling really comfortable on the Husky and I am happy with how everything is working out at the moment. The goal is to run up front in the Swedish championship and top 10 in the Dutch Masters. In the European championship, I will do as good as I can and see how far it goes. I want to thank Herman Sesink and his crew for two good years, I will always be thankful for all his hard work and everything he has done for me. I am really looking forward to 2019 now”, Håkansson commented.
