GPR Promo Team confirm 125cc riders for 2019

The GPR Promo Team have confirmed that Rob van de Veerdonk and Cameron Durow will stay with the team in 2019. Both riders will contest the EMX125 Championship, Dutch Masters of Motocross and the ADAC MX Masters Championships.

The team will stay with Husqvarna machinery but with the support of Laurense Motors.

Van de Veerdonk has been with the team since his 65cc days and after picking up lots of experience during the year in the EMX125 class, he’ll be looking for good results in 2019.

As for Durow, he showed some good speed at times in 2018 and the South African will want to be right at the front in the EMX125 series.

The team are also in talks to sign an EMX250 Championship rider and might even run a MX2 World Championship rider but that’s still to be confirmed by the team.

Rob Vd Veerdonk: I feel comfortable in the team as we have already been working together since I rode on a 65cc. They helped me during good and bad periods, I had a couple of good years but also years with some bad luck. They always keep believing in me.

As for my expectations in 2019, I’m riding the full EMX125 championship and the ADAC, dutch masters of mx and the dutch championship. We made a lot of experience in 2018, so we put all the best in for 2019. We work hard and then the results will follow.

I want to thank my parents and Gunter Peeters the most, without them this wouldn’t be possible. I also want to thank Rene Kouveld, RK service for the good engine and always there when we need him, HGS exhausts for the best pipes, Hans laurense motors for the good service, Wim Kroon (öhlins), Younique for the personal training, RST MX training for the training on the track, Twin Air and all the other people that helped me in 2018. Also to the supporters that came to the races.

Cameron Durow: I am staying with the team because I have always been with them when I have been overseas and it’s a very friendly and family like environment, they really help and support me.  It’s myself and rob in the 125 class for the team and we train and live together in Holland so we are really going to push each other next year and do some great things in the class.

I just want to thank my dad for giving me the opportunity to race overseas and the Veerdonk family for all the support they give me and for being my second family.
