Gebben Van Venrooy Kawasaki Racing to make rider announcement in Assen

It’s been a good season for the Gebben Van Venrooy Kawasaki Racing in the MXGP World Championship as Alessandro Lupino sits a very respectable eleventh in the MXGP championship standings. Considering he hasn’t got factory material he’s having a great season during his first year with the team.

Lupino’s team mate, Maxime Desprey picked up an injury but is hoping to make his return to racing at the next round of the series in Assen. Desprey will spend the 2019 season concentrating his racing in France.

It means the Gebben Van Venrooy Kawasaki Racing will sign a rider to partner Lupino in 2019. It’s not yet official who the rider will be but the team will make the announcement during the MXGP of Assen.
