It’s all change for the STC Racing team in 2019 because not only will they change from Husqvarna to Yamaha but with Henry Jacobi leaving the team they’ve also got a new rider line up.
The team have announced that Loris Freidig and Kevin Brumann have joined the team to contest in the European rounds of the MX2 World Championship and EMX125 championships respectively.
“Actually my mechanic went to work for STC with Henry Jacobi and I knew one of the team members. We came closer and found a good solution for 2019. It feels great. It has always been my dream to ride GP’s and to make this step in the GP paddock with these awesome people and with the team around me it’s a good feeling, I am very excited”.
“Actually I still have the priority to ride the whole Swiss championship in mx2, my expectations are mainly in this category, I wan’t to be up front. In the MX2 GP class I want to show my best and take the maximum out of every race. Points are the goal but I want to make improvements over the whole year and increase my speed”. Freidig commented.
“A huge thanks to my family, My parents and siblings who are helping me and are 100% behind me. Also, I want to thank the whole STC Team for the opportunity and Hostettler AG”.
Young Swiss talent, Kevin Brumann will be a rookie in the EMX125 series next year so will be hoping to learn as much as possible whilst picking up some good results along the way.
“The deal came together because we know Daniel Zollinger (team manager) for a long time and since they didn’t renew their contract with Husqvarna they started looking for new riders and a new deal, we found each other this way. For 2019 I would like to finish in the top fifteen in the EMX125 overall standings. For sure, some top ten results would be very nice”.
“I would like to thank all my sponsors especially Hostettler AG and STC for giving me this opportunity. Also, my parents are the biggest reason where I am today. My whole families support is just amazing and we all pull in the same direction, this is a big reason why I am as comfortable with my riding as I am. I am really looking forward to 2019 and the process of working on myself as a rider and as a ambassador of my sponsors”. Brumann said on his move to STC Yamaha”.
