Young Norwegian rider, Håkon Fredriksen has spent a number of years on Honda machinery but will make the switch to Yamaha for the 2019 season.

Fredriksen who’s a graduate from the EMX150 series spent the 2018 season on a Honda and contested selected rounds of the EMX250 Championship. He’s inked a deal with Yamaha Scandinavia which will see him contest eight out of the nine rounds of the EMX250 series in 2019. He’ll be hoping the switch to blue will help him develop as a rider.

As well as the EMX250 series, he’ll also contest the Norwegian MX2 and MX1 Championships in 2019 as well as selected rounds of the Swedish Championship.

“The switch to Yamaha was because I wanted to try something new and I also got a better deal there. I hope to get inside the top 15 in the EMX250 championship and I also want to go for gold in Norway in both the mx1 and mx2 championships.  I want to thank StarMotor, Fox racing Europe and Kellox for all the help I have got by them, I really appreciate it”, Fredriksen had to say regarding the move.
