Febvre says goodbye to Yamaha

After picking up an injury at the MXGP of Sweden, Romain Febvre has been ruled out for the rest of the MXGP season.

The ex MXGP World Champion was motivated to end his season on a high but injury hasn’t allowed him to do that.

Febvre has finally been released from hospital and can start his recovery programme.

Yamaha have already confirmed their rider line up for 2020 which is Arnaud Tonus, Gautier Paulin and Jeremy Seewer – it means Febvre will be on the move.

The French rider has posted the following statement thanking Yamaha for their support.

“Thank you Yamaha and Rinaldi’s team. Just wanted a better end of the season than this… I tried my best, only the people around me knows how tough this was!
I was supposed to post this after the MXON, last race of the year but I won’t be racing anymore till next year due to my injury!
Thank you my team for everything”.

It’ still to be confirmed where Febvre will head next year but it’s thought to be the Kawasaki Racing team alongside Clement Desalle.
