Factory Husqvarna sign up young Dutch talent

The Factory Husqvarna outfit have signed up young Dutch talent, Kay de Wolf. The 14 year old has signed a long term contract and will be under the awning of Jacky Marten’s Husqvarna Racing team.

The last time the team run an EMX125 was Pauls Jonass and he went on to become a World Championship so de Wolf will be hoping his career can go down the same route as the Latvian.

De Wolf had a good season on the 85cc as he finished second in the EMX85 championship and also second in the 85cc Junior World Championships. He also won the Dutch 85cc title for the second year in a row.

The 14 year old will now start preparing for his rookie season in the EMX125 class in 2019. De Wolf is very talented and is tipped by many in the Netherlands to be the next bigthing.

“I am very happy that I get this opportunity from next season to be part of this great and professional team. There are no concrete expectations yet. I’m going to prepare myself with the team this winter to be able to start the new season well. From then on, it will have to be looked at where I stand and what the expectations are. I’d like to thank Team Beursfoon, Hannamax Motorsport, KTM Netherlands, Fox Europe and all my sponsors for everything they have done for me in the past few years. Thanks to them, I’ve been able to achieve his success over the past years”. de Wolf commented regarding the move.
