Everts hit by Malaria – intensive care
Ten times Motocross World Champion, Stefan Everts was in Democratic Republic of Congo last month and during his trip has been hit with Malaria.
The reason Everts was there was to contest a charity race to help raise money for various projects, such as building a school and a range of things.
Everts is currently in an induced coma in intensive care in Belgium and very seriously ill. The Everts family have asked to be left alone during this tough time so they can fully focus on Stefan.

We would like to wish Stefan Everts all the best and we are thinking of him and the family during this tough time. With more world motocross titles than anyone in history, Everts with his perfect technique, is known as the best motocross rider in history. But he’s also a good ambassador for the sport, we’ve managed to interviewed him many times and it’s something he never shy’s away from.
