Erki Kahro heads to Australia

Erki Kahro had been preparing to do as many MXGP rounds as possible in 2019.

However, due to budget issues it was going to be quite difficult.

The Estonian rider reached out to friends in Australia to see if they could do anything for him and as it turns out he’s ended up out there and will contest the MX Nationals over there.

“So basically how it came about was that I showed some pretty good results at pre-season races and felt good but struggled a little bit budget wise to go race the gp’s. At first I was planning to do the Matterley and Valkenswaard rounds but it looked like we could not get all things lined up for them”, Kahro commented.

“That’s when I spoke with some of my Australian friends and they invited me over. They got me a new Ktm 450 and we’re going racing. It will be interesting to see how I stack up against the local guys here. Going in with an open mind and just wanna do my best and see what results we can get. Just huge thanks to my friends Frank Cambria, Steve, Fern and Shaun for this opportunity”, Kahro added.
