Mel Pocock took the overall win at Lommel on his daughter’s first birthday after race leader and about to be overall winner, Kevin Horgmo endoed spectacularly out of the lead with just two laps to go!
Maxime Renaux took second overall to continue his good form with Roan Van De Moosdijk third on the podium and is now fourth in the championship.
Points leader Boisrame had another crash-happy race to take eighth and it means Pocock is now only two points behind the Frenchman in the title chase.
A frustrated Martin Barr once again started outside the top 20 as he did in race one but came back to sixth to stay third in the championship.
Pocock said: “It was insane, the heat, the bumps. I got a really good start, my new engine is really powerful and I am really pumped about that. I am so happy with the win.”
