Young Swedish rider, Emil Jönrup will contest the full EMX125 Championship in 2018 as he’s inked a deal with KTM Scandinavia/CEC Racing.
It was the Swede’s rookie year on the 125cc this year but concentrated racing in Sweden. He finished third in the Swedish series behind Filip Olsson and Isak Gifting.
Jönrup will have a new challenge for the 2018 season as he will be racing the competitive EMX125 series – he only did two rounds of the series this year. He will also contest the Swedish series and on top of that some ADAC and Dutch masters could be on his schedule.
Emil Jönrup: “It was hard at the beginning but now I have a good feeling and training very hard to reach the top. My goal for the season is to be the Swedish champion and to be top 10 in the EMX125 series. I would like to thank ktm Scandinavia, cec racing, Bihr, rynopower, powerbyjj and mx support. Also, a big thanks to my trainer Rickard Sandberg who is a former gp rider. I’m very happy to ride with leatt for next year.”
