Eli Tomac responds to Joey Savatgy’s recent claims

Joey Savatgy recently called out Eli Tomac for the events that took place at the Monster Energy Cup last year. 

Savatgy appeared to move over for Tomac in the last race which allowed Tomac to walk away with the million dollars. 

Speaking to Swapmoto podcast with Micheal Lindsay, Savatgy claims he never even got a thank you from Tomac never mind getting paid. 

“People thinking I got paid, that is hilarious. I never got a thank you or a handshake, I never got acknowledgement the whole year about it. Would I do it again? There ain’t a chance in the world I would ever do that again, because I felt I did what was right. At the end of the day if you don’t want to pay, I made you x amount of extra dollars that night, I didn’t have to do that, I chose to do that. If you don’t want to pay me, I don’t give a shit. Have the common courtesy to come and say ‘thank you, I appreciate that, you made it easier on me”, Savatgy stated. 

After this years Monster Energy Cup where Tomac missed out on the overall win to Adam Cianciarulo, Tomac got asked about Savatgy’s recent claims from what happened at the previous event. 

“The whole situation is a bummer, right? We never even spoke before the race so there was no pre-plan for anything to happen. I didn’t even know there was that much bitterness there. Expecting the payment thing, that’s actually against the law so that’s where I leave it. I can’t do anything about it and that’s it”, Tomac told Chris Cooksey from Motoxaddicts.
