E2T Racing announce 2019 rider line up

The E2T Husqvarna Racing team have announced their rider line up for the 2019 season.

The team will have two riders contesting the MX2 World Championship. French rider, Enzo Toriani will stay with the team for another year but joining him under the awning will be Swedish rider, Hampus Kahrle.

The team will contest the European rounds of the MX2 World Championship as well as the rounds held in Turkey and Russia. Toriani is hopeful he can compete at the Chinese and Hong Kong rounds too.

The team will also welcome two new riders to the team in 2019 who will focus on the EMX championships.

Contesting the EMX125 Championship for the team will be another Swede in the form of, Axel Semb.

The team have decided to support the all new EMX 2T class which is a new series for the 2019 season. They’ve inked a deal with British rider, Robert Holyoake for the year ahead.

Hampus Kahrle: I am going to ride in the MX2 class for E2T racing and I’m really looking forward to it. It’s my first year in that class so its a “test year” for me so I have no expectations more than just to have fun. I am going to ride the 14 rounds in Europe. A big thanks to all my sponsors and the people that makes this dream come true.

Rob Holyoake:  I have been racing the EMX for the last 5 years as a privateer and it’s tough! So when I had this offer come through it was a no brainer, I went to meet the team in December and I loved the atmosphere and gelled with everyone. This made my decision easy.

I had an email through back in October from Marc Toriani at E2T racing and he was looking for a rider to compete in the EMX 2T class. We exchanged some emails and phone calls and then I went down to where the team is based to meet everyone and do some riding. It went really well so when the time came to discuss a deal I was extremely happy to sign.

I’m expecting myself to be inside the top ten. I’ve achieved this before and for 2019 I want to be consistently in that top ten. I’d like to thank Marc, Magalie, Enzo and Theo of E2T for welcoming me into the team. I’d like to thank my parents and Vince who have helped me travel all over Europe to race up until now. I’m really looking forward to the 2019 season and putting a solid result in.

Axel Semb: Marc Toriani, the team manager in E2T racing team contacted me earlier this autumn. Then we came up with a deal that worked for us both. I’m looking forward to next season and think it will be a lot fun. I will ride all the EMX125 and Swedish Championship races. My goal is top 10 for EMX. Last year I took a comeback after 2.5 years of injuries. So I focused on national races and tried out racing the EMX in Lommel and Assen. I had some decent races and was happy with a top 20 overall in Lommel. Unfortunately I had a DNF and a 19th position in Assen. I’m really looking forward to the next season.  I would like to thank Marc and the team for the support and believing in me. Of course, I would like to thank my coach Kenneth Gundersen, my family and all the others who support me. They are the ones make it possible.
