DRT not making Indonesia trip

The Dixon Kawasaki Racing team have made the decision to skip the next two rounds of the MXGP World Championship which head overseas to Indonesia.

Darian Sanayei has been battling with Epstein Barr virus which means he can’t ride or train between each GP. The American will rest up and hope to start training before the next round in Loket. He’ll be hoping the rest will do him the world of good.

Sanayei: “We have made the decision that I will be sitting out the 2 Indonesian rounds to continue to build back my health. My next race will be Loket in Czech Republic in 4 weeks.

Pessoa: “I train very hard and ride a lot, I am going back to Brazil for a few weeks to try to regain some energy and take some rest, doing a whole GP season is a lot harder than when I came in for a few races at the end of last year, the travel, the different cultures, food, hotel, weather, it’s all very difficult to adapt to as well as the tricky tracks, but no one said it was easy and I am already Brazilian champion but the only way to improve is to take tougher challenges and the World Championship is certainly that”.
