Drew Mccreanor to contest 2019 Arenacross UK series

Drew Mccreanor to contest 2019 Arenacross UK series

Young Irish rider, Drew Mccreanor ended the season on a high as he represented team Ireland at the Coupe de l’Avenir.

With the Arenacross UK coming up in January, Mccreanor thought he’d register his interest to contest in the Supermini cup. It’s believed that there were hundreds of registered riders but Mccreanor was one of the lucky twelve to be selected to take part in all six rounds of the series which starts in front of his home crowd in Belfast.

Mccreanor will also be part of the team green Kawasaki setup which is a great opportunity.

“I have always enjoyed watching the Arenacross UK series and got my first opportunity to race the event a few years ago in the 65cc class in front of my home crowd in Belfast. I finished second on both nights. Since then I’ve always wanted to do it again and compete in the full series. The opportunity came about two weeks ago when I seen that the Arenacross are hosting the Supermini cup and I thought this would be a great chance to do my first full Arenacross series so I registered”. Mccreanor commented on his intentions to race the series.

“A week later I got a email saying that I was successful with my application and that the Arenacross team would like me to compete in the series. I was super happy and proud considering there was hundreds of applications and I was one of the lucky twelve riders to be picked. This is the first time I will ride a Kawasaki KX85 and compete in a series like this so it will be a good experience and a learning curve in my career. I’m not to sure what to expect yet but I would love to be up at the front challenging for wins and podiums. I’d just like to thank everyone that helps out and most importantly my dad”. Added Mccreanor.
