Clement Desalle took a big crash at Assen which meant he missed the last round of the MXGP series and the Motocross Des Nations. Clement suffered a broken C6 vertebra and since then has been recovering to get back on the bike as soon as possible.

The good news is that the Belgian is now back on the bike which means he will have a full off-season to prepare for the 2018 season.

It will be interesting how Desalle will perform next year with all the talk about Cairoli, Herlings, Gajser and Febvre. Don’t underestimate the Belgian though, with a full winter behind him he might not be too far from the front of the pack in 2018.

Desalle posted the news on Instagram:

  1. I see Desalle as a rider who might win a race or two in 2018, maybe. I don’t see him as a challenger for the title.

Regardless, best of luck to him and his team.
