Dean showed in practice that he came to Markelo to score some good results. He found his rhythm straight away in practice and managed to take the pole position. In both motos he was leading when he went into the first corner. In the first and the second moto he was under pressure from Filip Bengtsson in the first half of the race. Bengtsson made a mistake in both motos and gave Dean the chance to make a gap over himself and the rest of the field. Dean took no unnecessary risks and won both motos in Markelo.

Harri Kullas qualified himself in eight position in the MX2 class. The Husqvarna of Kullas was just like a rocket at the start of both motos. After he had taken the holeshot in the first moto he got passed by Thomas Covington. Harri was following him in the next couple of laps and was keeping him under pressure. Unfortunately he lost second place just after the middle of the race and wasn’t able to make the difference on the two leaders. After a well ridden race he crossed the finish line in third position.

In the second moto he took the holeshot as well and this time he was leading the race in the entire first lap. It was again Thomas Covingon who passed him but in this moto he kept him under pressure a lot longer but wasn’t able to pass him back. In the closing stages of the race he lost second position to Petar Petrov and wasn’t able to come back. Again he finished the race in third position which gave him third overall as well.

In two weeks time Wilvo Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing will participate in the Grand Prix of Lombardia in Mantova.
