Cyril Genot: Beginning of the season around the corner

I am already writing my second newsletter. Gosh, time passes by so fast! Next week, after months of rehabilitation, I will finally be back behind the starting gate at the ONK in Emmen, the Netherlands. What I personally expect from it? I honestly have no idea. I’m just going to go with the flow and I am going to try to enjoy myself as much as I can.

Spain, you have been good to us!
Our trip to Spain was really nice. We had a lot of fun and I was able to ride and physically train a lot. Although we had a great time, I must admit that being away from home for that long was tough at times. I’m not really used to it. After one month I felt it was time to head back home.

One Team Academy
Once back in Belgium, I was able to pick my routine up again. I went to check if everything was alright with my knee in Antwerp and started training again with one of my best friends and trainer, Kenny Vandueren. For me, he both mentally and physically is a great help and support. I learn a lot from him. I go there on average twice a week. We train physically very hard, but I do like that.

Shooting time
These are moments I really look forward to. It’s always fun to shoot sick pictures and share them with you guys. My photographer is none other than Danny Relouw. We know each other already since I was riding a 125cc. We go way back. Friends for life, that’s for sure! My setup for this year looks like this. I’m fan!
