Christoph Selent back training Jacobi
Henry Jacobi has had Christoph Selent as a trainer in the past and the pair have worked very well together. Noticeably for the 2018 season when Jacobi was part of the STC Husqvarna team, the pair had a very strong winter heading into the season and it helped Jacobi take his riding to the next level.
When Jacobi signed with the F&H Racing team for this season, it meant the German worked closely with Marc de Reuver who also done a very good job improving Jacobi.
Whilst Jacobi and Selent still worked together for the 2020 season, Selent full time focus will be on Jacobi as the German makes the move up to the MXGP World Championship for his rookie season.
It’s not yet confirmed what team Jacobi has signed with but it’s expected to be confirmed in the next couple of days.
“We never stopped working together. I still worked with him and took care of all his contracts etc. My job is way beyond just training him. I guide him through everything. But we talked daily about the training. Halfway through last season he also moved back again from Holland to my place in Germany. Marc was a good addition, as I was also very busy with Camden Mc Lellan living with me”, Selent told GateDrop.com
“Now I have some youngsters that I help part time when there is time but my main focus is on Henry now full-time. It would have been nice to have another year MX2 and go for the title but we are ready for MXGP. We have a great program and good people around us. We have no specific expectations. At the first race, we will see where we are at and then we are just going to build. Week by week we will be improving”, added Selent.

I just wanted to give everyone a quick update. Unfortunately I am still not allowed to make my plans official for 2020. But all contracts are signed for a while, I have met my Team, mechanics (yes, I have more than 1 next year #pumped) and all team staff. I‘m working hard at the moment with @chrispo322 to be in the best possible shape for when I return on the Bike in the beginning of December. #grandeready #adopoamici 🤩
