Only three points separated French rivals, Cedric Soubeyras and Thomas Ramette heading into the final round of the Arenacross UK series at Wembley – double points up for grabs!
Even though Ramette beat Soubeyras in the final, Soubeyras put in a quicker lap than him in the hot lap which has given him the title, otherwise he would have needed to beat Ramette in the final to win the championship.
It’s been a good seven rounds of the Arenacross UK series and the pair have put in some good entertaining battles. Ramette just came up short of winning the series for the fourth time but Soubeyras who has been unlucky not to win it in the past has been able to clinch it tonight! The UK Champ will now head to America to contest some rounds of the AMA Supercross series.
Hopefully both riders will be back to contest the competitive series in 2019 again, congratulations to Cedric Soubeyras and the FRO Systems outfit on their title.
Also, Joe Clayton had a great campaign in the pro lites class as he was able to clinch that title on his Kawasaki, it won’t be too long until he’s racing in the pro class!
Final Pro Championship standings:
- Cedric Soubeyras – 142 points
- Thomas Ramette 139 points
- Charles Le Francois – 115 points
