Cairoli: A little bit sore!

Tony Cairoli says he is still feeling the effects of the crash a week a go in Riola Sardo but that he will still give it his all at Mantova for Italy at the MXoN in front of his home fans.

Cairoli admitted in the press conference: “I’m little a bit sore in my neck and my back a little, the right part of my body is sore from the hit. Nothing is broken so it is just crash problems which normally when I was younger in three days it was done! But now it takes a month, I can still feel it as if it was yesterday! We will see, I feel motivated to race in front of the fans and I will try to be there for the team and for myself also to improve and also be ready for Teutschenthal which is another important race next week.”

“We know we are a strong team together of course I would be more happy if I could be 100%. But we will do are best, we will see how it goes. We will start a little bit slower tomorrow i think for myself then see how i feel during the weekend then give everything for Sunday.”

Meanwhile an excited Mattia Guadagnini commented on his first : “I’m really proud to be here in the team. I always dream about to be there and always supporting the team and cheering for team Italy and now it’s my time with two strong other riders. I’m also happy to to be in Italy for my first time the expectation are pretty high with a strong team and I for sure will give my best. It’s pretty close to my home and i have had some pretty good races in the past here so I am looking forward to a good race.

Open class contender Alex Lupino is in great form and said: “I am riding really good this year and I enjoy the KTM a lot, I am having fun with the bike. I think we are a good team. We have something not all the of other team have, we have respect for each other and we are really good friends and this counts a lot for Sunday, I am really happy to be here.”
