Cairoli: I know I can improve and I know I can do it

The latest MX World video provided a fascinating insight into the world of Tony Cairoli and brilliance of the 33 year-old nine-time world champion.

Going through his close relationship with Claudio De Carli and the lose of his parents, right through to being teammate with MX2 world champ Jorge Prado, Cairoli’s determination is evident and it builds a greater picture of why Cairoli has been the king of the motocross world for over a decade.

Jorge Prado’s father thinks having Jorge to practice with now has inspired Tony and kept the fun during the week- and revealed that Tony ups his game if Prado has some good lap times!

”Tony is the definition of an athlete, clearly he only thinks with a winning mentality and so in those years he has overcome a lot of hard moments and he has an incredible drive,” said team boss Claudio De Carli.

And the greatest motocross rider of his generation showed even in defeat last year, in what was one of his best seasons regarding speed, that he still has more in the tank.  That is one of Cairoli’s biggest strengths, he has always done what he needed to do to win and no more, this speed has been there for ten years, he just didn’t use it until he needed too- ask Ryan Villopoto!

And Carioli isn’t done yet, one of the greatest riders of all time showed he still has the belief and the drive to challenge current world champ Herlings next year vowing, “I know I can improve and I know I can do it.”
