Bryan Mackenzie signs with Apico Husqvarna for 2016!

The 2016 rider line-up for the Official Husqvarna UK MX2 team has been unveiled as Scottish veteran, Bryan MacKenzie and Steven Clarke.

With the addition of Bryan to Apico Husqvarna, the team have one of the strongest rider line-ups in the British Motocross MX2 class, with both riders capable of moto wins. And with most of the team’s current sponsors confirmed for next term 2016 is looking very promising for the Birmingham-based team.

“I’m really pumped to be given the opportunity to be apart of the Apico Husqvarna team for 2016,” said MacKenzie. “Looking from the outside in, it looks like a really smooth operation, with a tight committed team that build fast, reliable bikes with strong support from a lot of very reputable brands,” he added.

“I already have good relationships with team personnel from years of just being at the track, and one member that I have worked closely with before. I get to take my own mechanic too which is cool.

“I have a lot of respect for Steven, who will be my team-mate, so I feel I have all the hardware I need and will be comfortable with my new surroundings, which is equally as important to me. We’ll be a pretty strong MX2 team I’m sure. I’m looking forward to getting started – it should be a good year.”

Apico Husqvarna Team manager, Richard Clarke commented: “Signing Bry has delighted us. Everyone knows how hard working and dedicated he is, and we are so happy to finally have his autograph on our contract.

“We are already extremely excited to get things moving going into 2016. Our rider line up is obviously great for us in our second year of competition, and with direct factory support and Husqvarna UK fully behind us – we have all the foundations we need to get the job done.”
