Brian Swink passes away

Bad news for the motocross community this week once again with the passing of former 2xEast coast supercross champ Brian Swink passing away.

Swink was one of the most naturally talented riders in the 90s and rode for Mitch Payton’s Pro Circuit Peak Honda team, factory Suzuki and Honda of Troy among others.

Former rivals Jimmy Button and Jeremy McGrath paid tribute:

In 1992 I saw this quite often. This is from Daytona SX where I got 2nd to Brian. We had grown up racing each other our whole lives. I got the better of him in 84 on 60’s at Ponca and then we split some wins on 80’s but we were often times an age group apart on mini bikes. When he was on you simply couldn’t beat him. I’m sad to hear he passed away today. #RIP #Swinkster
