BMB Chairman claims there will be three GP’s at Lommel!

It seems the new MXGP calendar will be announced tonight or tomorrow evening. Various sources have confirmed that Lommel will receive no less than three GP’s according to the new calendar. These are planned for 18, 21 and 25 October according to the BMB Chairman, Jos Driessen.

The concept of a double or triple GP at one location has been a persistent element in discussions about the new schedule. Other race series have already committed to the same solution. By using the same locations, budgets are saved and it is also easier to comply with safety measures and adapt the infrastructure. In all probability, Kegums (Latvia) and KymiRing (Finland) will remain at the top of the calendar.

In order to offer the riders a new experience, the circuit in Lommel would be rebuilt for the last GP.
