Arenacross UK RD2: Morning report

Arenacross UK RD2: Morning report

The morning session of the second round of The Arenacross Tour culminated in close racing throughout the three youth races.

Ben Clayton won the Rookies, Alfie Jones the Team Green Supercup and Freddie Bartlett cleaned up in the Youth 65. The All-Ireland Cup was, once more, all about 21-year-old James Mackrel.

In the Rookies, German Carl Ostermann led the way in practice and both qualifying sessions. Josh Greedy was the early race leader and enjoyed a close battle with Clayton before crashing and leaving the track clear for Clayton.

The Team Green Supermini Cup looked like it was going the way of last night’s winner Raife Broadley who went fastest in practice and qualifying one, however, Surrey-based Alfie Jones improved in the second qualifying to post fastest lap and then emerged the victor after a race-long battle with Broadley.
