A few weeks off for Sihvonen!

A few weeks off for Sihvonen!

The start of the season hasn’t gone according to plan for Finn talent, Miro Sihvonen. A fully fit Sihvonen was one of the favourites for the EMX250 Championship but problems with his knee have prevented him from being at the front.

After not qualifying for the first round of the series in Redsand, Sihvonen did qualify for round two but felt pain in his knee during the second moto and it wasn’t bending like it’s supposed too so he decided to pull out of the moto.

After visiting the doctor, he’s been told he needs to rest up for at least the next two weeks so he’ll miss round one of the ADAC MX Masters and the next EMX250 Championship. Hopefully after some time off, his knee will be fixed up and we can see the best of him.

Sihvonen posted the following update on social media:

Portugal was surely a big step forward as i qualified straight from time practise to the race. Saturday first heat i crashed on the start straight and started completely last. Riding was okay as i came up to 20th place in 15 mins into the moto, around this time i started to get massive armpump and couldn’t hold on anymore so dropped back to 22nd… Sunday heat 2 when i sat on my bike i felt that my knee isn’t bending like it’s supposed to. I tried to ride but it was only getting worse and more painful so we decided to pull out of the race. I hope it’s only due to some over load on the knee but i will have a doctor check up tomorrow on wednesday morning. I really want so say a huge thank you to those people who are still supporting me. Especially to every person in @ktmdigajuniorracing team for sticking with me. @ericlaurijssen
