2019 Lacapelle international date announced
The Lacapelle Motoclub, organiser of one of the most important pre season International Motocross just confirmed the date of the 2019 edition: it will be on February 24th, just two weeks’ prior the opening round of the World Championship.
As all their colleagues who organize pre season races, the French club wait the last version of the GP calendar to fix the date of their event. “The idea is always to be as close as possible of the first Grand Prix, as we expect top teams and riders to be behind our gate on February. Next year the first GP is schedule on March 10th, so we postponed our date to February 24th. It’s impossible to go further, as the teams and riders need some time after their last pre season race to prepare the first GP” explained Vincent Ayroles, member of the board of the club.
For the sixth year in a row, Lacapelle will be one of the main pre season event, and the club expect to attract many GP riders. “We always had a good feedback from teams and riders who came here to race, and today most of the managers have a good opinion about our event so we expect to welcome even more top riders than in the past,” he continued. In February Jeffrey Herlings add his name to the winners list, a few months before he clinched his first MXGP World title. Who will succeed him on February 24th?
