2018 German Champions crowned

2018 German Champions crowned

ADAC MX Masters:

Henry Jacobi secured the ADAC MX Masters Championship this year, the STC Husqvarna rider battled with Max Nagl at the start of the season but the Factory TM rider picked up an injury which meant Jacobi was able to go on and secure the title.

It’s a nice title for the German to win in front of his home fans as he’s not expected to race the series next year after agreeing a deal with the F&H Racing team in 2019.

Youngsters Cup:

There was a question mark over Jett Lawrence coming into the season after deciding to move up to the 250cc from the 85cc – quite a jump. However, the Aussie has been a revelation and won the Youngsters Cup championship ahead of some established names.

Lawrence will head to America next year so when he looks back on his time in Europe he’ll have good memories securing the German title.

125cc:

There were three riders with a shot of the 125cc championship and in the end it was Filip Olsson who was victorious. The Swede came into the season as a privateer but after impressing at the start of the year he was picked up by the German team, Diga-Procross Husqvarna team.

Olsson hasn’t disappointed the team as he clinched the 125cc German title just seven points to spare ahead of Raf Meuwissen. The Swede will stay with the Diga-Procross setup for the 2019 season and move up to the 250cc now where he’ll hope to be competitive.

85cc:

The 85cc German championship was a fight between EMX85 Champ, Camden Mc Lellan and Liam Everts. In the end it was the South African, Mc Lellan who clinched the title which means he done the double in 2018 – the European and the German 85cc title.

As the season went on, Everts got stronger and stronger so with another good winter behind him he could be closer to his peers next year.
